At the risk of being considered an “allyship-ist” I take offense to this article. I haven’t seen the movie “Black Panthers” and I probably won’t. Every discussion I’ve heard and article I’ve read about it evokes emotions of victimhod and segregation.

Yes, I’m white…and a woman. I am a child of the ‘60’s. I am a survivor of domestic abuse. I have personally experienced not being heard or believed about my life experiences. No, the color of my skin does not identify me as a societal victim.

The Wakandans are not interested in “allies” — instead, they call for co-conspirators.

Co-conspirators?? This statement is heard by me as angry, fearful and aggressive.

No thanks!
